Date

06 Dec 2020

An open call for young activists: We the Youth Hackathon will take place online on 11-13 December. Bring your voice to help strengthen youth organizations and influence decision-making on issues affecting young people!

We the Youth Hackathon aims to strengthen youth organizations to be more inclusive, effective, and collaborative in addressing the issues facing today’s young people. It is organized by ATÖLYE and UNFPA in partnership with Y-PEER and PETRI-Sofia.

The event will bring together young activists aged 15-29 to address the following questions:

  • How can youth organizations become more inclusive, effective, and collaborative in mobilizing young people and addressing youth issues with a focus on disadvantaged youth?
  • How can young activists influence decision-making on issues affecting young people?
  • What can young activists/youth organizations do to influence sustainable development agenda?

Participants will form teams to tackle the questions above. The teams can identify their own issue areas or engage with the following topics: health, education, immigration, unemployment, stigma & discrimination, and youth participation & leadership.
