Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, we’re hosting CreativeMornings Istanbul virtually. This way, we want to create a space for discovery to bring human interaction to the digital realm.

Under the theme of “insecure”, CreativeMornings Istanbul is hosting Aral Balkan, “cyborg” rights activist, designer, and developer at Small Technology Foundation. During our session with Aral, we will talk about concepts such as distrust of technology, which we see as an integral part of our digital life and the role of ‘security’ in our age.

About the speaker:

Aral is an activist, designer, and developer. He is one-half of Small Technology Foundation, a tiny and independent two-person not-for-profit based in Ireland. At Small Technology Foundation, they advocate for and build small technology to protect personhood and democracy in the digital network age.
