Play Advocates Meet on World Play Day!
Play Days is a series of events created by Toyi to bring play advocates together for discussions about current issues concerning play and to create an environment in which everyone can contribute to the solutions with their own unique advocacy methods.
In the first part of the event, which will take place on May 28th World Play Day, the speakers from the fields of education, design, and social entrepreneurship will share their own stories of play advocacy. The second part will consist of a meet-up of parents, educators, designers, and civil society workers who will discuss the current issues in the field of play and craft their own advocacy messages.
19:30 – 20:30: Play Talks
Moderator: Gizem Kendik Önduygu – Toyi Communication and Advocacy Manager
Panelists: Belma Tuğrul – Early Childhood Educator and Play Advocate, Berna Aslan – English Teacher and Play Spreader, Elif Atmaca – Co-founder of Toyi and Designer
20:40 – 21:30: Play Meet-Up
We believe everyone has something they can do to support the child’s right to play. Whoever finds their own way of advocating play in their personal life: a teacher putting efforts in creating a play-friendly school, an aunt taking time to play with her niece, a parent requesting genderless marketing in toy stores… We call them Toyi Play Advocates. Join us to share your advocacy story!
