Co-organized by ATÖLYE, IDEO, and Palmwood, the Design Gov program for leaders within the United Arab Emirates government kicked off

Last week saw the start of the Design Gov program, co-organized by ATÖLYE, IDEO, and Palmwood, in Copenhagen. The aim of the project is to equip leaders within the United Arab Emirates government with strategic design and creative problem-solving skills, thus enabling the UAE government to offer more human-centered services. Learn & Design takes place under the scope of the Design Gov project, a national movement by the UAE government that focuses on human-centered design.

The meeting in Copenhagen served as a bootcamp readying participants for the immersive 17-week-long Learn & Design program. In his opening remarks, IDEO’s Chief Creative Officer Paul Bennett encouraged participants to focus on “what design can enable us to become” as opposed to “what design can enable us to do.”
