We are happy to announce that Bengi Turgan joined the ATÖLYE team as the Studio Director—a newly created role within ATÖLYE’s Strategic Design Studio.
Coming directly from her role as the Studio Director and Head of Creative Innovation and Design at Deloitte Digital Turkey, Bengi will lead business development in regional markets and contribute to the content and client management of ATÖLYE’s large-scale projects. Bengi will also take part within the leadership team to refine and develop ATÖLYE’s teaming, project management, and learning processes.
Within Deloitte, Bengi initiated the Creative Studio within Consulting and led the Design Research, Innovation, Service Design, CX, UX/UI Design capabilities. Before that, Bengi pioneered the emergence of Experience Design and Interaction Design in Turkey, setting up and running successful project offices and design studios where she applied ethnography and service design thinking to many projects. Bengi also facilitated 100+ design and innovation workshops for clients, government bodies, students, academics, and NGOs.
As a visiting lecturer, Bengi runs the Interaction Design and Service Design studios for Design programs at Istanbul Bilgi University since 2013. She is amongst the founders of Service Design Network Turkey, a member of IxDA, and a voluntary organizer and facilitator of the Istanbul Service Jams. Bengi also holds judge and jury roles in global entrepreneurship competitions like IxDA SDC, Intel Entrepreneurship Challenge, Start-up Chile, and Verizon Horizons.
