Last month, we got together with certified B Corps in Türkiye as well as aspiring B Corps in a 3-day B Corp bootcamp organized by imece, in partnership with Zorlu Holding, S360, and B Lab Europe. We were proud to be a part of this event as community partners to share our journey of becoming certified.
Our Co-CEO Bengi Turgan Çiftçi, Community Designer Atalay Akpınar, and Communications Lead Melissa Lara Clissold delivered a swift workshop on the “Community” section of the B Impact assessment which is made up of 5 sections in total: Governance, Workers, Environment, Customers and Community.
During the bootcamp weekend, we also officially kicked off the “B Local Türkiye” community, of which Melissa Lara Clissold will be a Co-Chair on the Steering Committee alongside Idil Lopez and Aleyna Koca for a year.
The purpose of this community will be to spread the B Corp movement across Türkiye and the region and develop the impact ecosystem further.
Since becoming a B Corp, we have invested in our Climate work, JEDI/DEI work, and strived to focus on impact-driven projects. This year, during our re-certification, we hope that our work will have paid off, and are excited to see the fruits of our labour come to light.
