On May 27, ATÖLYE is partnering with Gehl, an urban design, research, and architecture consultancy, to host an event in Riyadh titled “Community-Powered Destinations.” The event will explore the value of designing with and for your people to ensure a Sustainable vision. This event will emphasize the importance of inclusive design processes that engage and consider the needs and aspirations of the community.

We look forward to hosting speakers from esteemed companies and organisations including: Kokila Lochan (Advisory Director Planning, WSP), Peter Robinson (Principal Advisor, DASC), Zainab Al Mansour (Senior Strategic Planner, WSP), Rasha Shawoosh (Senior Social Development Director, Red Sea Global), our Moderator, Jeff Risom (Chief Innovation Officer, Gehl), and our very own Güray Oskay (Director of Architectural Design, ATÖLYE) who will cover topics such as the role of community input in urban planning, innovative strategies for sustainable development, and the impact of human-centered design on creating vibrant, resilient urban spaces. Our speakers will be accompanied by an opening talk by Adel Alzahrani (Executive Director, Community Development Charters at ROSHN) followed by a story-sharing session, during which we also wish to invite your valuable insights and experiences to enrich the conversation.

ATÖLYE and Gehl’s collaboration is rooted in their shared affiliation with the kyu Collective, a network of 22 companies united by the vision of creating impactful solutions to the world’s most challenging problems.
