imece is founded by ATÖLYE, and Zorlu Holding, one of the biggest corporate groups in Turkey with the strategic partnership of S360, strategic sustainability agency.

As a result, we designed imece’s operations on three main areas in order to cultivate social entrepreneurship and innovation among society, mainly targeting the young generation.imece Challenge is a 6-month-pre-incubation and incubation program that provides ideation processes, business development trainings based on Design Thinking methodology, 30,000 Euros of funding per team and mentorship for impact entrepreneurs.

In order to make a lasting impact, imece set its strategy based on young adults in universities.  Accordingly, imece Academy is based on university collaborations which deliver lectures on social entrepreneurship, innovation and design thinking methodology.

Students who are more dedicated to this movement will be selected for fellowship program which provides offline & online educational materials and workshops.

The process for designing the imece system was conducted as a co-design process with multiple stakeholders from various fields, including academia, NGOs, public and private sectors, as well as international collaborators such as OpenIDEO, Stanford d.school, b-Lab and frogDesign.

Imece aims to create sustainable social initiatives with scalable  income models, to raise awareness within the community and to ensure capacity development, and finally become a platform that combines social entrepreneurship and innovation. The ultimate goal is to contribute to the process of solving  important social issues in Turkey.
