Under the theme of “transit”, CreativeMornings Istanbul is hosting Pelin Turgut, writer, facilitator and storyteller.
 

We will talk with Pelin Turgut, about the “transit” between professions, countries and experiences. She has made a transition between different professions from writing for the TIME magazine to co-founding !f Istanbul Independent Films Festival, and whose life journey extends from Istanbul to London, from London to Portugal.

About the speaker:

 

Pelin Turgut is a Brighton-based writer, facilitator and storyteller. Her belief in the transformative power of stories underlies everything she does. She co-founded the !f Istanbul International Independent Films Festival and !f Sundance Institute Screenwriters Lab. She was a correspondent for publications such as TIME and The Independent. She is a faculty member at London-based Escape the City, teaching on the Career Change and Startup Accelerator programs. The English translation of her first book ‘Secrets of a Vanishing Country’, came out last month.
