ATÖLYE is organizing the “Designing Co-Futures” workshop in the sixth edition of İyi Tasarım/Good Design İzmir, organized by the İzmir Mediterranean Academy. The workshop will be held online between 13.00-17.00 on December 1, 2021 and will be facilitated by Bengi Turgan, Emel Pilavcı, Başak Aras, Büşra Serdar and Cihan Kaplan.
About the workshop:
Designing Co-Futures workshop gets its drive from the the technological, biological, ecological, social, and cultural context that today’s world is situated in. It uses the prominent layers in the urban focus, discovers new ones and takes into account the likelihood of those separate factors will relate. This way, it aims to convert the probable futures into preferable futures.
The workshop brings together different stakeholders and citizens on the possible scenarios that cities will face in 50 years. It reveals joint work, design tools and principles to design sustainable futures; it opens up a playground where it offers speculative design, futures design, and mapping methods for participants.
