About the speaker:

Bringing elements of folk, blues and acoustic pop together, Kalben has reached a unique community of music lovers, who have specifically fallen for her story telling skills and persona. Inspired by singer/songwriters such as Patti Smith, Beth Gibbons, PJ Harvey and the idea of traveling world through music, Kalben has viewed herself as a story teller all through her life.

Her self-titled debut album Kalben, released in 2016, brought her a golden-record in digital sales along with many awards. Her second album Sonsuza Kadar (Forever) made her journey diversified, reaching out from Russia to New York; San Francisco to Berlin, adding many new cities in her home country to her slate, too.

Her third studio album, Kalp Hanım (Ms.Heart) produced by Genco Arı and released by Garaj Music, is a dream-pop album according to the artist who claims “this is the pop music of her dreams”. Kalben continues singing during these times of crisis and self-healing, for the sake of peace, unity and harmony. Her music carries hope and love wherever she goes.
