At the talk organized in collaboration with ATÖLYE and Columbia Global Centers Istanbul, Prof. Dr. Levent Kurnaz will discuss the national and international aftermath of the climate crisis through his new book “Before the Last Glacier Melts.” Known for his work on climate change, Dr. Levent Kurnaz calls our attention to what we already know and tries to bring the cold hard reality of climate change to our daily lives.

Prof. Dr. Mehmet Levent Kurnaz was born in Istanbul. He received his diplomas of Electrical and Electronic Engineering in 1988, Senior Electrical and Electronic Engineering and Physics in 1990 from Boğaziçi University, diploma of Master of Physics in 1991 and Doctorate of Physics in 1994 from University of Pittsburgh. Between 1995- 1997, he made post-doctoral researches at Department of Chemistry in Tulane University. In 1997, he started to work as assistant professor in Boğaziçi University. Since 2005, he has been Professor of Physics in Boğaziçi University Faculty of Science and Letters.
